I'm always very curious how social night is like ever since Elaine and Fyonne told me about their experience. And I always thought to myself, when will I have a chance to attend such night? Then, one day while I was preparing for school, I received an sms from my 159 (not anymore) khaki. He asked if I'm free to be his date on 20th Nov! Since I'm curious about such event, I agreed.
On the actual day of the dinner, he and his camp buddy; Gavin came all the way from AMK to Pasir Ris just to pick me up. I heard there was traffic jam that's why they were like 1/2 an hour late. And I felt sooooo bad for making Gavin drive all the way to Pasir Ris.
When wee told me they reached, I walked down the stairs super fast because I din want them to be late for the dinner. The dinner starts at 745pm. By then it was already 710pm. And because I was in HIGH heels (well, to me I think its high) I fell down. And now, there's a mini ba-lu-ku just slightly below my knee area. :(
I hardly wear heels!!! That's the disadvantage of being tall.
Wee was super gentlemen that night. Okie, not like he isn't. But on that night, he was really super gentlemen. And I felt so weird because he and I are like buddies. We talked to each other like as though he's talking to his guy friends!
On that day, he opened the car door for me. He pulled out the chair for me. He helped me with all the food. He even asked me if I need him to accompany me to the ladies. Its so not him la. haha!
Wee intro-ed Crystal to me and thank goodness I have her to accompany me that night. Surprisingly, the both of us can click quite well. I made two new friends that night. Crystal and Amanda. :)
During games time, the emcee asked for a volunteer for each table. Hongwee got sabo-ed by his friends. And so our task was to transform him into a lady with 10 items that the emcee mentioned.
A couple of us headed over to Mount Faber to chill.
It was already 130am by then. We ordered our drinks and that was when I had a goood talk with my 159 buddy!
We became very emo. Talking about the poly days and how we missed the poly life. I had fun "socialising" with his camp mates as well. And I got to know better how my buddy is coping in the army.
Well, in life, you meet new people, you bond together and after few months, you bid farewell. All this are part and parcel of life.
I've learnt to treasure the people around me. And I'm someone who treasures friendship ALOT! I miss the poly days.....I know it's difficult for everyone to meet because the guys are busy with their army life and the girls are either working/studying. But whatever it is, I hope this friendship within us will never fade but continue to be that strong till the day the guys ORD.

Next entry will be on Kids Day Out. The day we (Gab, my sis, my cousin and I) brought 3 kids out. Man, it was a headache!
Followed by Goodfriend's 21st birthday party at Bayshore Park Condo. :)

Time for bed.
