2008 has officially come to an end.Like every other year, my new year's eve will be spent in church. It is a tradition for our church to have Watchnight Service every year.
This watchnight service is for us to testify the goodness of the Lord, to thank the Lord for what he had done for us for that one whole year.
Every year, the youths will go around sabotaging one another by shouting out people's name and those names who got shout out must go upfront and give their testimony.
Year 2007 I got sabo-ed. Year 2008, I got sabo-ed too. THANKS ALOT GELLERS!!
And so, I went up feeling kinda nervous but after awhile, I felt okay.
I remembered last year. No, last last year (2007), I thank God for my uncle and aunty.
Seriously, without them, I wouldn't know where will I be now.
I don't need to be rich to be happy. I don't need to brag about the things I have to be happy.
I thank them for providing me a shelter over my head. I thank them for treating me like thier own kids. What more can I ask for?
To end of with 2008, I thank the Lord for watching me grow. No doubt, 2008 has been one of the worst year for me.
I admit, througout my whole study life, everytime when I score well for a particular module, I never once tell my friends that it's God who gave me these results.
Surprinsingly, when I got back my first uni results, I actually thank the Lord for giving me such results.
Never in my whole life, I scored a Distinction! The overnight mugging at airport really paid off.
There's alot of decisions for me to make in 2008 and through all these decisions, I've come to realised my faith in God grows stronger and stronger. Now, I'm not afraid nor am I shy to tell people that I'm going to church. :)
So, 2008 has officially come to and end and I sincerely hope that 2009 will be a better year!
Starbucks with goodfriend AGAIN on New Year's Eve.
We wanted to just spend time chilling out at somewhere to read our storybooks.
We couldn't think of anywhere to go and so we decided on starbucks instead. Great! She has succedeed in influencing me to love starbucks!
Now I know why she loves starbucks. The staff there are very very nice people! And kenneth; the boss is a very friendly guy. It was only my second time meeting him.
We did the same old usual stuff.
Sitting down at the very comfortable couch, listening to our "holy" songs, drinking our moccha and green tea frappe, reading our storybooks and taking nonsense pictures. Haha! I love this kind of relaxing feeling.
Away from the crowds and away from all the tempting SALES!
What a way to spend New Year's eve.
I left for church while goodfriend headed down to Timbre to meet her darling!
Left church at around 1130pm. Went over to Pasir Ris station to wait for that AlvinKhoo.
And I had the most memorable countdown ever.
At the strike of 12, people at the station went around hugging each other, shouting "Happy New Year", screaming here and there.
Me? I was alone at the taxi stand waiting for that guy to pick me up!!! Yes, ALONE!
So memorable till I'll never forget how my countdown was spent in year 2008! hah!
Okay, anyways, we headed down to East Coast Park; Beach Cabana to celebrate Aaron's birthday which falls on the 1st of Jan!
It was my FIRST time celebrating New Year's Day with them and the moment Jian Kai saw me, he said I was like their special guest. WHAT ONLY!
Somehow, I feel that I've neglected this group of friends.
Is like, we have known each other for about six years but I never once celebrated Christmas or CNY or NYE with them. my bad!
But nevertheless, I'm glad that despite my busy schedule, they still remember me as a friend. :)
Simpang after that for Prata.
It was about 330AM when we reached there and we waited one whole bloody hour for our prata!!
Got home only at around 445am.
Thanks khoo for giving me a lift home. :)
School's starting this Monday.
Surprisingly, I'm looking forward for school.
And I realised Chinese New Year is just around the corner!
Is like Christmas just ended and now it's CNY already! My gosh!!
